For
all health care practitioners who work directly with the body
The body is the medium for human experience. It communicates to us in the language of sensation, tension, relaxation, movement, gesture, posture and flow of qi. Symptoms are the body’s way of getting our attention. Rather than analyzing symptoms intellectually, learn to mindfully explore body experience directly, and gain a wealth of information about your patients’ physiological, psychological and spiritual well-being.
Improve your assessment and treatment. Empower your patients by giving them a direct experience of how their body, mind and spirit are connected in the presenting condition, and help them understand and move towards the next step for healing.
Learn to:
- be with the body without automatic assumptions, theories, judgments
- listen, observe and efficiently sort through the storyline, and notice subtle indicators of mind-body process
- communicate what you perceive more effectively
- direct awareness to help your patients move from their heads (ideas) to their experience (embodying)
- translate body intelligence into words
